HIT- Hydrogen Iron Transport

Description

eLoop supports the HIT (Hydrogen Iron Transport) project as the partner responsible for the environmental and economic assessment of the concept of transporting hydrogen using iron. The idea behind the project is to use iron, in the form of direct reduced iron (DRI), as a reversible hydrogen carrier, leveraging the redox reactions between iron, iron oxide, and water vapor. In this way, the system is being studied as a possible alternative to conventional hydrogen carriers, with the aim of verifying its sustainability, safety, and scalability over long distances.
