Andrea Paulillo is a chemical engineer with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University College London (UCL), where he also serves as Senior Research Fellow and lecturer. He has a strong track record in scientific research and sustainable innovation, with numerous publications in international journals and contributions to conferences in the fields of chemical engineering and sustainability. With years of experience in applied research, consultancy, and the development of quantitative methodologies, Andrea is a recognized expert in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and evidence-based strategies for energy, materials, and industrial processes.

As Co‑Founder and Chief Executive Officer of eLoop, he leads CSR Projects that help companies and organizations integrate sustainability in a strategic way.

Roberto Chirone is a chemical engineer with a PhD from University College London (UCL). He serves as Board Member and Sustainability Consultant at eLoop, with expertise in energy transition, circular economy, industrial ecology, and Industry 4.0.

As a co-founder of eLoop, since 2018 he has contributed to the development of methodologies and projects for assessing and improving environmental sustainability, with a particular focus on life cycle assessment (LCA).

In addition to his work at eLoop, Roberto is a Senior Researcher at the University of Naples “Federico II” and participates in international scientific initiatives and research projects in the field of sustainability and environmental technologies.

Lucio Pessolano Filos has a Master's in Business Economics from the University of Naples "Federico II". He is a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.

Lucio has expertise in the Corporate and Tax sectors, as well as Green Finance, with a focus on Sustainable Development and Circular. Lucio is an expert in the development of Benefit companies.

Mauro Chirone is a Senior Chartered Chemical Engineer. Mauro has significant experience in process planning and detailed engineering in a wide range of projects in the energy generation, refining, gas, and chemical treatment.

Paula Redon de Motta holds an MBA with an academic excellence award by SKK GSB (Seoul, South Korea) with emphasis on digital marketing and business development.  Paula is a chartered civil engineer with the ICE (UK) and a Spanish institution. She studied civil engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She has experience leading infrastructure projects and developing businesses.

Paula has strong analytical, management, and coordination skills. She is currently in charge of marketing and business development at eLoop.

Dario is an expert in Economics and Sustainability Management. He provides training and consultancy on sustainability, governance, and responsible development. He is the founder of N’Sea Yet APS, an association actively engaged in promoting sustainable development models and territorial innovation.

At eLoop, he works on sustainability-related projects and sustainability reporting.

Claudia Scardigno has built a solid professional career in strategic communication, developed across national and international organizations including 3M, Barilla, Swatch Group, WPP Group, and EssilorLuxottica, with a background in Communication Sciences and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication from Il Sole 24 Ore Business School,  She has developed cross-functional expertise across all areas of communication: from internal communication to external relations and media relations, events, corporate communication, digital, and social media.

She is currently a Strategic and Communication Senior Consultant at eLoop, where she works on integrated communication and supports companies and organizations in pathways that combine strategy, sustainability, and communication.

Luigi D’Elia has been a Sustainability Consultant, LCA and Social LCA Analyst at eLoop since 2021. His academic background is rooted in Biological Sciences and has progressively evolved towards industrial biotechnology and quantitative sustainability assessment. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Pathophysiology) from the University of Naples Federico II in 2014, Luigi completed a Master’s degree in Biology (Biosafety) in 2016, graduating with highest honours (110/110) with a thesis on the identification and characterisation of bioactive compounds extracted from Galdieria sulphuraria. In 2021, he obtained a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Naples Federico II, focusing on the development of microalgal biorefinery processes for the production of heat-stable antioxidants for the food industry.

At eLoop, Luigi analyses environmental, social and economic impacts across the life cycle of products, processes and systems, with particular expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) and Life Cycle Thinking approaches applied to emerging technologies. He contributes to every stage of sustainability studies, from goal and scope definition to life cycle inventory collection, system modelling, interpretation of results and identification of environmental and social hotspots. His work also includes projects involving industrial biotechnology, algal biomass, waste management, carbon capture and CO₂ mineralisation technologies, plastics and bioplastics. Among the projects he is most proud of is REMADYL, where he contributed to the LCA of innovative technologies for PVC recovery and rejuvenation. The results were presented at two major international conferences in 2023: the European Congress of Chemical Engineering / European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECCE/ECAB) in Berlin and the International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE) Conference in Leiden.

He also led the LCA and Social LCA activities for the A4IBD project, focused on evaluating algae-based value chains for food and pharmaceutical applications. The project was presented at the Algae4IBD – Algae for Health in Food and Pharma conference in Dublin in 2026. In addition, he contributed to the BRINE-CARB project, assessing innovative technologies for brine treatment and CO₂ capture and mineralisation.

Alongside his consulting and research activities, Luigi regularly delivers lectures, seminars and university teaching in industrial biotechnology and biology courses. He has also lectured in the BIOCIRCE Master’s Programme (2026) and in technical and scientific training programmes organised by accredited institutions such as EITD in Naples. His teaching reflects his commitment to making sustainability assessment accessible and applicable across environmental, social and economic dimensions of emerging technologies and innovative industrial processes.

His scientific publications include studies on the extraction of heat-stable antioxidants from photoautotrophic microorganisms published in World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology (2021) and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering (2021), the latter focusing on selective extraction using switchable solvents from Synechococcus bigranulatus. He is also co-author of a paper published in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering (2019) on pressurised fluid technologies for antioxidant extraction within a biorefinery framework, and a study published in Molecules (2023) on the recovery of high-value compounds from Synechocystis sp. PCC6803. Luigi has presented his research at numerous international scientific conferences, including the Algae4IBD – Algae for Health in Food and Pharma Innovation & Industry Summit (Dublin, 2026), the 4th National Conference on Microalgae organised by AISAM (Florence, 2024), the 14th European Congress of Chemical Engineering / 7th European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECCE/ECAB) (Berlin, 2023), the 11th International Conference on Industrial Ecology (ISIE) (Leiden, 2023), and the AlgaEurope Conference (Paris, 2019).

Mariachiara Volpe is a Fashion Designer and Sustainability Specialist. She works in sustainability communication and in the development of projects for the fashion sector and the creative industries. 

At eLoop, she contributes to the development of content and initiatives that integrate research, culture, and environmental and social responsibility.

Maria Grazia D’Arco is a sustainability and ESG management professional with experience in consulting and project management. 

At eLoop, she supports companies and organizations in assessing and improving their environmental, social, and governance performance, contributing to the definition of sustainable strategies and ESG reporting.

Piera Dell’Anno has been a Sustainability Consultant and LCA Analyst at eLoop since 2023, supporting companies and organizations in measuring environmental impacts and developing sustainability and circular economy strategies.

Her academic background is rooted in agricultural and environmental sciences. In 2021, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, Forestry and Environmental Sciences from the University of Naples Federico II, with a thesis focused on the enhancement of the Podolica cattle breed, reflecting her early interest in the relationship between sustainability, production systems and local territories. She further specialized in sustainable resource management by completing a First-Level Master’s Degree in Water Resources Management at the University of Siena.

At eLoop, she primarily works on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies, Carbon Footprint analyses and environmental assessments that support companies’ strategic decision-making. Her role involves collecting, analysing and interpreting complex environmental data, transforming it into clear and actionable insights to improve the environmental performance of products and processes while supporting organizations in measuring and reducing their environmental impacts, defining sustainability strategies and strengthening ESG reporting.

Throughout her professional experience, she has developed expertise in environmental certification schemes and sustainable construction, supporting LEED certification processes, the implementation of Green Building Council protocols, and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification activities. She applies internationally recognized methodologies, including ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards for Life Cycle Assessment, the GHG Protocol and ISO 14067 for Carbon Footprint quantification, using specialized tools such as OpenLCA, Ecoinvent and LOOK@LCI.

She has contributed to several high-impact innovation projects, including the development of the multi-criteria model behind HOUSE_UP, a decision-support tool for evaluating building energy retrofit scenarios, and the fib digital platform, designed to structure environmental and EPD data to support sustainable concrete design. She also contributed to the environmental performance assessment of a BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) plant, evaluating its contribution to greenhouse gas emission reductions.

She is actively involved in Life Cycle Assessment projects for leading industrial companies such as Manucor, supporting the company’s continuous improvement journey, which has resulted in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions exceeding 15% and the launch of its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) target-setting process.

In 2026, she presented the paper “Data-Driven Sustainability: Structuring Environmental Information through the SAG Digital Platform for Concrete Design Decisions” at the 7th fib Congress in Lisbon, highlighting the role of structured environmental data in supporting sustainable decision-making within the construction sector.

Her professional approach combines methodological rigour with a pragmatic mindset, transforming complex environmental data into practical decision-support tools that help organizations make measurable, informed and sustainability-driven choices.

Fulvia Iannotta is an experienced consultant in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint analysis, with a international academic background. She holds a Double Master’s Degree in Circular Economy from the Erasmus Mundus programme, with studies at universities including Leiden and Graz. Prior to joining eLoop, Fulvia built expertise in environmental sustainability, carbon emissions management  through roles at organizations such as ClimatePoint and Toyota Motor Europe.  

She is currently LCA Specialist at eLoop, where she supports companies and organizations in environmental impact analysis and the development of sustainability strategies grounded in data and recognized methodologies.
